For Nostalgia's Sake
An hour ago, Christine swiped me into Mesa Commons for what probably will be my last meal there forever. A rush of memories pound my head, like waves crashing on the shore, as i sit in the room i use to sit with the brisa girls before. Losing my keys everyweek and not studying for class (i guess somethings never really change), wishing on stars, rolling down hills, shady bastards, drooling over taylor of puente, pretending to be britney spears and running around in thongs, streaking when nobody was looking, condom balloons, condom grams, clubbing everyweek, partying on the weekends, mudslides, dancing like nobody is watching, ladies in red, ramen, baking, late night talks, gift exchanges, birthday cakes, haircuts, corny jokes, tomatoes, late night walks around mesa, feeding the bunnies, chasing the bunnies, scary racoons, 10 fingers...
i don't know where to start and i don't know where to end
things are so different now, everybody is on their own doing their own thing
and i know you probably won't be reading this, but here goes
i'm sorry for not being around
i'm sorry for always getting distracted by stupid boys
i'm sorry for not talking even when you're just a room, im, or phone call away
i'm sorry for not knowing what to say except for hi or how are you
basically i'm sorry for neglected friendships
but i am grateful and blessed for the memories
even if we're not as good of friends as we were
you guys were the only of group people that i could feel silly and carefree with in
a long time
i love you guys
