So early morning, I heard the bag of hamster food on the dresser by my bed rustling. I assumed that Quiznos was probably pulled the bag to the cage to gnaw on it, like he did my shirt. But of course you can never assume anything with Quiznos. When I looked over, I found the cage empty with the door open. Quiznos was inside the bag of food eating. How he finds ways to escape, I don't know. I seriously think he's smarter than me.
Mass on the Plaza was truly a blessing today. It was such a special celebration of God's love, and it was nice to see everybody take part in it. I kinda wish I did more to help. Welcome Week was so tiring, and I just felt sick and drained a bit. But it was so humbling to see people like Marites stay up really really late and wake up really really early to serve, without any complaints. I pray that I can be more like that this year.
It was my first time being part of the choir, and all I can really say is wow. I was a little intimidated with it, just because I was surrounded by so many musically gifted people. But I loved listening to everyone sing and play their praises to God, it's so uplifting and just makes me want to sing my praises to Him too. When we were singing Sa 'Yo Lamang, and I looked at the crowd and saw Francia, Shelby, and David singing I started to tear. Not sure why. It was beautiful thing to see, one of the mental kodak shots tucked away. And during the closing song, Forever, seeing Angie, Leo, Cristina, just everybody dancing and singing away. Wow, it sent chills up and down my spine, in a good way. Oh and I am really grateful that even though I'm starting to get sick, He still kept my body strong enough for today. And that I didn't pee in my pants during the Mass because I drank a half a bottle of water right before we started. So yea, thank God for all these blessings today.
So it's off to shower and bed I go, man, I'm craving some chili with cornbread right now.
