I didn't want to go to my 9am class today. As soon as I got up to get ready, I climbed back up to bed. But I reminded myself that this class is costing me $504, and my cheap side won't let me waste money. I even got ready early enough to stop at Starbucks and get myself a bagel and white mocha so I wouldn't be cranky. Starbucks is my 5th home. As much as I hate getting up in the morning, I'm really glad I went today. My teacher seems really cool, and he really made me think. I like how he compared education to a democracy, balancing the needs of the individual with those of society. He brought out my nerdy side that really really wants to learn. I thought I pooped that side out in high school, when the majority of my classes became focused on getting the A, getting in to college, and getting those things with as little effort as possible.

I'm a nerd. I have no life. I like to read new blogs in chronological order so I can get the big picture, and in one sitting when time permits. I also check blogs multiple times a day to see if they've been updated. Especially Christine's. My summer is being spent living vicariously through her European adventures. I miss my roomie. Christine, I heart you. And I love reading about all your cool new experiences. Let's hear it for the boys. And don't forget, a nice hairy Italian man for me. Quando a Roma vai, fa' come vedrai.
