So yea, I tried to finish my Stockton story earlier. I was halfway there, but then mamma texted to let me know about reg's birthday so i decided to stop there and publish already but it didn't work and now it's gone. Maybe i'm supposed to write about other stuff for now.

The Voice Within
After attendind SOL's spirit rally a few weeks ago, I felt a renewed energy within me. It was a really beautiful experience, seeing soooo many people and feeding off their spiritual energy. The songs were touching and I couldn't get it out of my head for days. But the best part was the mass. There was something sooooo powerful about seeing the blessed sacrament, especially at that moment. I never really gave it any thought before. Before this year I never even knew about the "real presence" in the Eucharist. Now that I know its HIS BODY AND BLOOD, I feel awestruck everytime I see it and consume it.

After that rally, Liwanag started having hard core practices for our own rally. The week before The Voice Within was like Liwanag 24-7. We spent soooo much time at Interfaith practicing the skit, singing songs, or taping commercials and stuff. It was hectic. Even though I left SOL's rally feeling pumped. As the week went on, I started to doubt a little. I started thinking that there wasn't enough time to get everything done, or that people won't feel. Just a bunch of negative thoughts like that. I feel really blessed to see how everything came together though. Praise God. I was really nervous though that night, partly because of the skit, but also because my parents were going to be there. The whole rally was really emotional. Like it was awesome to have them there support, but at the same time I felt so vulnerable. They've never really seen this part of my life before. So like there were moments when I was holding back tears. But yea, it was just soooooo wonderful to see people sing and cheer along for the Lord. I even so my mom and my little bro get into an action song. How cool is that? And at the end, I was overwhelmed with the feeling of gratitude that we made it and people were touched. That's all any of us could hope for. And IHOP was the perfect way to celebrate after, with cornbread cakes, friends, and laughter. Thank you Lord for all your blessings.

Oh and special thanks Christine for helping with the posters, and for coming. That meant soooo much you have no idea.

Maybe I'll never get to the whole Stockton story. I think I should sleep. Good night. Happy Birthday Regina!
