Today was a toughie at work. I went in with a little (and i mean teeny weeny itsy bitsy...just a tad) more confidence today because I was lucky enough to get a couple of pledges from parents on my previous shift, but once Eileen said we were switching from parents to alumnis...WHooSH..whatever confidence I had quickly went away. I was just getting used to the calling parents and all of a sudden they had to pull a fast one on me. I couldn't even get my foot in the door, as soon as the alumnis heard me mention UCI...*CLiCK*! I just get so intimidated, I feel bad asking for money when I know the person on the other line couldn't care less. But it's for a good cause, and the worst they can do is say no, so if I'm going to try might as well go all out I guess. Whatevers, I'll do better next shift.
